Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what OutfitClash(“we”, “us”) collects and how we handle it. We keep the footprint deliberately small.
Your photos are never stored
This is the most important thing to know: we do not store your images. Your photo is resized in your browser, sent to our scoring service for the length of a single request, used to generate your rating, and then discarded. We do not keep it, log it, or use it to train anything. There is no photo library, no image database, nothing to leak.
What we do store
- Account details — if you sign in, your email address and a login session, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Plan usage — the minimum daily or monthly counters needed to enforce your Free or Pro limits. Older credit balances and ledger entries remain as a private historical billing archive.
- Free-trial usage — to give one free rating per device without a signup, we store a device cookie and a salted hash of your IP address. A salted hash cannot be reversed back into your IP; it only lets us recognise a repeat device. We never store your raw IP for this.
- Ratings — the numeric scores of a rating may be retained (never the image).
- Wardrobe — clothing photos stay only in your browser. We store private clothing descriptions, local item IDs, saved combinations, and allowance counts for your account. Clearing browser data can permanently remove the local photos.
- Creator referrals — if enabled, an anonymous code, referral click, account attribution, and commission record may be stored. Creators see grouped totals and anonymous visitor codes, never customer names, emails, photos, results, or payments.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies: a signed device cookie for the free-trial mechanism, and session cookies to keep you signed in. Advertising is currently switched off, so no advertising provider is loaded.
Advertising choices
If carefully placed ads are enabled later, Pro accounts will never receive them. Free visitors will be asked before contextual advertising is allowed. Declining must not block ratings or normal app use. We will name the chosen provider and update this policy before any real advertising is released.
Product analytics
Vercel Web Analytics provides anonymous, grouped traffic information. Our optional first-party product analytics is currently switched off. If enabled later, we will ask before recording general actions such as a page view, completed rating, signup, or checkout start. We do not record typing, full web addresses or query values, raw IP addresses, photos, outfit results, card details, or session replays. The owner dashboard shows grouped information. First-party events are designed for a 90-day retention period, configurable between 30 and 365 days.
Affiliate links
Clearly labelled product links may earn us a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Shopping relationships never change an outfit score. See our affiliate disclosure.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted providers, and share only what each needs to function:
- Supabase — authentication and database (your account, plan access, usage limits, and private historical billing records).
- Anthropic — the AI that scores your outfit. Your image is sent for the duration of the request to generate the rating and is not stored by us.
- Dodo Payments — our Merchant of Record for purchases; they process payment details, which we never see or store.
- Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (page views and general usage — no personal profiles).
Your choices
You can sign out or decline optional analytics and advertising. To ask for access, correction, or deletion of your account data, contact support@outfitclash.com. Some payment, fraud, commission, or accounting records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
Age
OutfitClash is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and the service refuses to rate images that appear to show a minor.
